Come along and enjoy a fun workshop learning the art of silver jewellery making.

Design, make and polish your own silver jewellery in a friendly, hands-on workshop.

Perfect for complete beginners and those wanting to refresh their skills, this practical course introduces the core techniques used by jewellers: sawing, filing, texturing, soldering, forming and finishing. You will be guided step by step, with plenty of individual support, so you can work safely and confidently while creating pieces that are personal to you.

What You’ll Learn

·        How to transfer a design onto silver and cut shapes with a jeweller’s saw

·        Filing, sanding and polishing for a professional finish

·        Adding texture with hammers, stamps and simple surface techniques

·        Annealing, forming and shaping silver safely

·        Introduction to soldering and creating clean joins

·        Workshop safety, tool care and tips for continuing at home

Make Your Own Jewellery

For beginners in the first session - you will make a silver ring to try out all the skills and tools.  This workshop is 3 hours long from 6-9pm.

You can then join the other sessions to continue your silver journey.  

Depending on the course format, you may create a textured silver ring, pendant, earrings, charm or small personal project. Each piece can be adapted with your own design ideas, making this a creative and memorable experience as well as a practical introduction to silversmithing.

Workshop classes are fun, relaxed and of course we have cake. 

All workshop classes are for complete beginners or for those with some experience who would like to brush up on their skills.
