Slab building involves rolling out clay into flat sheets, which are then cut, shaped, and assembled to form the walls and roofs of your miniature house. This method allows for precise construction and architectural detail, making it ideal for small-scale structures. The session includes step-by-step guidance on shaping and assembling slabs, as well as exploring textures. You’ll discover how to use various tools and materials—such as stamps, rollers, fabrics, and carving implements—to add surface texture and patterns to your ceramic houses. Whether you want to mimic bricks, wood grain, or whimsical motifs, experimenting with texture will bring a unique character to your creations.

All materials are provided, and our experienced instructor will support you throughout the process, ensuring everyone leaves with distinctive ceramic keepsakes. This workshop is for beginners or those that have worked with ceramics before. 

Please wear old clothes or those you don't mind getting clay on.
