Ceramic Gifts Workshop

Skip the high street and spend a creative afternoon hand-making a whole collection of festive treasures! In this "little of everything" workshop, we’ll use traditional hand-building techniques to create a set of charming ceramic keepsakes. It’s the perfect way to tick several people off your gift list—or decorate your own home—all in one fun, festive session.

What You’ll Do

This session is designed for variety and festive play. You’ll have the chance to hand-build 3–4 different items, focusing on:
•    The Perfect Trinket Dish: Master the "pinch-pot" technique to create delicate bowls for jewellery, tea lights, or even a little dish for Santa’s mince pie.
•    Festive Coasters & Tiles: Use winter botanicals, lace, and seasonal stamps to press beautiful textures into clay slabs, creating a set of unique holiday coasters.
•    Personalised Ornaments: Use Christmas cutters and letter stamps to make custom tree decorations or "forever" gift tags that carry a special message.
•    Glazing on the Day: To make things easy for the busy holiday season, you will glaze your pieces during the workshop. We’ll show you how to apply professional glazes directly to your damp clay, so you can finish your designs with festive reds, greens, and snowy whites before they head to the kiln.

What’s Included

•    All materials: High-quality clay and a beautiful range of seasonal glazes.
•    Festive Texture Tools: Full use of our stamps, botanical imprints, and holiday-themed rollers.
•    Professional Kiln Firing: Once your pieces have dried, we will fire them in our studio kiln for you.
•    Plenty of tea, coffee, and festive cake to keep the holiday spirit high!

What to Bring

•    Old Clothes or an Apron: We’ll be getting our hands stuck in, so wear something you don't mind getting a bit of clay on!
•    Small Keepsakes (Optional): If you have a specific sprig of holly or piece of lace you’d like to use for imprinting, bring it along.

Collection Info: Your gifts will be fired and ready for collection from the studio approximately 3 weeks after the workshop—perfectly timed for Christmas wrapping!

It’s productive, personal, and pure festive fun. You’ll leave the studio with the satisfaction of having designed and glazed a collection of unique gifts that your friends and family will cherish.
