Ceramic Cake Stand

Unleash your creativity and craft a stunning ceramic cake stand in our hands-on workshop!

Guided by a skilled ceramicist, you’ll explore essential techniques for making a cake stand. If you have done our throwing workshops and are an intermediate on the wheel, you can throw the cake stand. If you are more of a beginner, we will hand build with clay slabs. You can then add unique decorative touches using carving, sgraffito, underglaze painting, and slip trailing.

As this is near Christmas, you could make it themed for the festive season.

Finish your creation (approx 2 weeks later) with beautiful glazes that make your cake stand truly one-of-a-kind. It will then be fired once more and returned to you approx 2 weeks later.

All materials and tools are provided, plus expert tips throughout the session.

Please wear old clothes or those you don't mind getting clay on.

There will be refreshments available throughout the workshop, including some cake.
