Welcome to our Introduction to Glaze Course—a start to your transformational journey into the science and artistry of ceramic glazing.

Glazing is more than just the final step in ceramics. It is a magical blend of chemistry, creativity, and technique that gives each piece its unique beauty and character. Learning how to make your own glazes opens a world of possibilities, allowing you to:

• Customise colours, textures, and finishes to suit your vision
• Understand the materials and processes behind every shine and matte
• Troubleshoot and resolve common glaze issues
• Develop a personal style that truly sets your work apart
• Gain control over food safety, durability, and surface quality

In this half day workshop you will use ready prepared test tiles to try different glazes and even learn to mix one to make your own colour!

This course is just the start of your journey and can be continued in our 'Glaze Mixology Course' and then 'Glaze Inspiration Course'. 

You will then be a full member of our Glaze Club which means you can access the materials and tools to mix your own glazes.

This workshop is for beginners or those that are already on their ceramic journey who want an initial introduction to glazes.
