Ceramic Lichen and Glass Picture

In this workshop you will be making some organic forms in the shape of lichen out of clay.

You will learn how to sculpt and form organic shapes and attach them to a ceramic base.  We will use tools to texture and shape the lichen.  You will then add coloured glass frit to the inside of the lichen which will pool and crack once they are fired. 

The sculptures will be bisque fired and then you can come back and use glazes and oxides to further enhance and colour your forms.

These will then be further glaze fired and returned to you in a frame approx 2 weeks later.

This workshop is for beginners or those that have worked with ceramics before. 

Please wear old clothes or those you don't mind getting clay on.

There will be refreshments available throughout the workshop, including some cake.
