Summer is here, and we couldn't be more excited about what's happening at the Sorting Office over the coming weeks. Whether you're looking for the perfect summer activity for your children or you fancy a creative escape for yourself, we've got something wonderful lined up — and we'd love to see you here.
Kids Holiday Workshops: 28th July – 25th August
Our Kids Holiday Workshops are back, and this year's programme is our most varied yet. Running from 28th July right through to 25th August, these hands-on sessions are designed for young makers aged 5 and up — a friendly, relaxed space where children can get messy, try something new, and go home genuinely proud of what they've made.
Each session is taught by DBS-checked teachers, and refreshments are included. Sessions are just £15–£20 per child, making them one of the most affordable and memorable summer activities for kids in Hampshire.

- 28th July — Herb Pot & Label (10–11.30am) · Sewing Fab Ice Lolly Cushion (10–11.10am) · Mosaic Bird Bath (1.30–3pm)
- 30th July — Kids Throwdown clay session (2–3.30pm)
- 4th August — Sewing Jellycat (two sessions) · Clay Jellycat (three sessions) · Felted Jellycat (two sessions) — a full Jellycat-themed day!
- 6th August — Kids Throwdown (morning & afternoon)
- 11th August — Fused Glass Bunting (10–11.30am) · Sewing Bean Bag Frog (10–11.30am)
- 13th August — Clay Poem Picture (10–11.30am) · Ceramic Beach Hut (1.30–3pm)
- 18th August — Flower & Foliage Casting · Sewing Cuddly Stingray Toy · Jewellery Making
- 20th August — Screen Print Bag (10–11.30am) · Mosaics (1.30–3pm)
- 21st August - Fused Glass Summer Hanging Decorations
- 25th August — Ceramic Cactus · Drawstring Cat Bag · Mini Clay Houses
From fused glass and ceramics to sewing, felting, mosaics, and printing — there's a session for every kind of young creative. Spaces are limited, so we'd recommend booking early to avoid disappointment.

Fused Glass 'Create' Workshops: For Adults & Older Children
If you're looking for a creative treat for yourself this summer, our Fused Glass 'Create' Workshops are running throughout August, September, and beyond. These open-studio sessions are a wonderful way to spend a morning or afternoon — you choose what you'd like to make, we'll teach you the basics of glass fusing, and you'll leave with something truly beautiful.
Think garden decorations, coasters, bowls, hanging panels, tealight holders, jewellery... the possibilities are really lovely. Sessions are £25 for a half day (10–12.30 or 2–4.30) or £45 for a full day (10–4.30), plus glass cost payable on collection. Children aged 8 and over are also welcome.
Upcoming summer and autumn dates include 15th August, 12th September, 17th October, 14th November, and 12th December.
